Hi Bill! Thank you for sharing. He is going to be getting 2 plasmapheresis before his Bendamustine and rituxan treatment. His Igm is almost 5000 now. Appreciate you answering.

I have WM, Five years ago my IGM skyrocketed to 11600 after four infusions of Retuxan. I had two plasma exchanges on an emergency basis. I felt better almost immediately. My IGM went down to 1840.

My husband has Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemlinemia, rare bone marrow cancer.

What kind of blood cancer does he have? I googled it, you probably did too. side effects weren't bad. Be glad they can do things like that. Our survival rates are getting better all the time. Take one day at a time. My biopsy was sent to a 2nd place for verification, and it showed Kappa refractive plasma cells, the 1st part showed the expected follicular but also marginal zone cells. I don't know what will happened about that plasma part of the biopsy yet--might be on watch and wait"
