I have Neuropathy in my both my hands and my feet due to chemotherapy treatments. I try soothing lavender or eucalyptus Epsom salts dissolved in warm bath water. I soak for about 20 minutes and that really helps me. Then I rub my feet with something called “Tiger Balm” which you can find on Amazon. It works wonders for me but I recognize that everyone is different. Wishing you the very best!
I had neuropathy close to the end of my chemo treatments. My oncologist took the drug (that was causing it) out of the regimen. I don't know if that was because I was at the end of treatments or not. It may be worth asking about :-)
I wish you the best of luck as neuropathy is rather unpleasant!
Developed Neuropathy in my feet and my Oncologist advised not to take any medication that hopefully the nerve damage would get better in time I was advised to take a Vitamin B-Complex pill once daily and a Gummy or pill of CoQ10 which you can find at Walmart believe it has helped me and walk all you can but it has taken over a year to see the affects. Hope this helps you
thank you for your response, my husband was put on Gabapentin as well. Hopefully it will help him also.
Hi Vicki... Just a guess but I expect many people going through treatment for cancer have neuropathy of some kind. Speaking for myself I developed vertigo - thinking of Alfred Hitchcock and the movie "Vertigo"; I don't know about vertigo at high places but I know all about sitting in my office while my eyes start to (feel like) they are rotating in my head. I saw a neurologist and there are exercises I can do if I want. Has been getting less frequent. Also had very bad lower back pain after chemo. My PCP put me on Gabapentin. Had an irregular heartbeat too (apparently nothing serious though troubling to me)... due to neuropathy, and not that it was expected to make a difference but the Gapapentin took care of that too. [After three or more years on Gabapentin I started getting nauseous from it. Stopped taking it and I seem fine {it's been over 6 months now.)
