Is this the same name for Brentuximab? Anyone have this treatment by itself and have side effects?

I think it's along the same lines as Rituxan, maybe just a diff. name? I had Bendamustine(Treanda), pretty sure Prednisone too, along with Rituxan. 1st day was just Bendamustine(Treanda) & Predinsone , 2nd day, Treanda, Prednisone & Rituxan. I did well on this, with the exception of the 1st Rituxan treatment, which is expected in most patients. It did make me quite sick after my 3rd treatment, and I had to stop, I was supposed to have 4-5 treatments, but it did the job, well enough, by this point, I guess? Then I did the Rituxan, every 3 mo's, for almost year. My white blood count has been down & at a good level every since, going on 3 yrs now! Although, I was supposed to be on the Rituxan for 2 yrs, I also had to stop that one too, because of side effects & feeling really bad. My Dr. felt it was better to stop, then to keep making me sicker. I have to say, I've had great results, with these drugs, esp. since I didn't finish either round! Treanda & Rituxan are great drugs in my eyes, even if I did feel bad, it could have been much worse, with other drugs, I've heard!

Claritan made a huge difference for me too!! I took it every day for 5 months. I was afraid to stop it. That Neulasta pain was something else! I found the pain pulsating and traveling - at least it was for me. Claritan really dulled that pain!

I have both drugs. First time Rituxan only, then on different lymphoma, Rituxan and Bendamustine once a month for 6 months. had to stop at 5. I learned that Bendamustine is cumulative. not so bad at first and then symptoms get worse, e.g. little mouth sores, fatigue!!!, etc. first month took a week to feel normal, second time around a week and a half. I also took a Neulasta shot which I found extremely painful!!! I took Claritan every day to help ease the pain in the bones from Neulasta which did help. Everyone is different tho. All in all it was not a horrible treatment. I got some sort of lung infection from the Rituxan and they cancelled the 6th treatment but the lymphoma as gone after 3 treatments!!

Not sure on that Roxane I had Rituxan but know that is the generic name. The tuximab sounds familiar. I didn’t have any bad side affects only the being tired part.
