Members shared their varied experiences with hair loss during cancer treatment, with most losing hair on their heads, eyebrows, eyelashes, and beards within the first two to three weeks of chemotherapy, though the extent and timeline differed significantly depending on the specific treatment regimen. Several members described practical and emotional adjustments, including feeling unexpectedly cold without hair, discovering that showers became quicker, and experiencing regrowth patterns that ranged from finer head hair to surprisingly thicker eyebrows. A recurring theme was acceptance and humor in the face of a difficult side effect, with members reassuring one another that while hair loss is a challenging part of the process, regrowth does happen and everyone's journey looks different.

Lost most but not all of my eyebrows and eye lashes. And didn’t have to shave.

Funny thing though, Iim still using some shampoo.just the one provided at the hospital. So I end up smelling like a clean baby. I do however have a cleanser I got that leaves my head feeling fresh and not oily

Most likely. Hairlessness makes showering a snap! No need to buy shampoo or conditioner either.

It’s been 11 weeks since I finished chemo and my hair is now about 1/2” long!

Lost most of my lashes and eyebrows. I had to shave my head because I was losing a lot around the 2nd or 3rd treatment. However, when I did that, I saw my hair (on my head) grow little by little, while still going through chemo. I dont know what treatments you're taking so maybe it has to do with the different treatments people take (I took BV + AVD)
