Flu Vaccines Necessary For Surrounding Family & Friends?

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question πŸ’
Hamburg, NY

I've heard anyone in my immediate family or friends must receive the flu vaccine to be around me safely.
Is this true? My son & his family do not receive this vaccine by choice & Should I avoid contact even though I have had the flu shot?

I had flu shot. I think it’s a good idea. Do not need leukemia PLUS the flu

Thank you everyone. I agree to encourage them to get the flu shot too.

You should tell him that even if he does not believe in the flue vaccines,he should be doing it for you.

thank you. I 'm confused as a video I watched from Roswell said everyone around me must get the flue shot. Dr yesterday said same as you.
I will encourage family to get it anyway. Can't hurt but son & his family don't believe in getting it. I did get the Sr flu shot as did my husband.

I agree not 100%proof of not getting flu if you get shot but might be a better chance of family not bringing to me if they got shot.
