First Of 4 Rituxan. Only Treatments
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed with MALT. Yesterday I received my first of four Rituxan treatments. I was fine during the process except toward end of infusion I had a dull headache. Then last night and today I have chills, head congestion overall tired. Is this normal?

I had very bad chills during my third dose of Rituxan, never experienced anything like it, l couldn’t stop shaking. Once the nurse slowed the infusion, l started to warm up. I was in Dana Farber hospital at the time due to almost zero platelets. Fourth treatment went well. Good luck with the rest of your treatments!

It is so strange how everyone’s body reacts differently to the same medication. I know that they can usually find something to make you feel better. I don’t believe in suffering when there are medications to help me. Get well soon.

I called and spoke to my nurse. She feels it was a delayed reaction to the Rituxan. She will inform my doctor. Thankfully, as of yesterday I feel great!
