I just completed 20 treatments of radiation on my neck, spleen, and abdomen on this past Friday. I have felt so bad and running fevers. 2 weeks ago I had a low grade fever and my counts were down but lots of blood test showed no infection and also showed no reason to suspect cancer. Just not sure if anyone has experience this?

Kat,
I also had a low grade fever at times during my chemo. I think it's our bodies way of dealing with it apparently. Your blood count will come back I know it!! Till then, drink plenty of fluids and rest. Kelly

Kat, I did not have fever with radiation but I did have chemo induced neutrapinia. My white blood count went down to.4. I was admitted to the hospital and given antibiotics. They did all sorts of cultures and tests looking for possible infections. Once my white count started to rebound the fevers went away ! Hope you are feeling better soon!

Yes we actually stopped 2 treatments last Thursday and Friday and resumed on this past Monday to complete on Friday. They did blood test and sent cultures and also put me I antibiotics but never really found anything. I think I need my blood count checked again because my WBC was 2.1 and ANC 1.44😞 I think that can make you feel bad. Prayers are very much appreciated and I’m so happy you are doing well!!!!

Kat,
I'm sorry you e not felt well. I pray for you every day! Know your in my thoughts and prayers. I will pray specifically for your fever. Have you ask the Dr or the radiation technicians about this?
