Anyone Getting Evusheld?
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

Although vaccinated for Covid prior to 6 rounds of R-chop for diffuse large-B cell lymphoma and boosted afterwards with a full dose of Moderna, I have no Covid antibodies. Treatment ended in June 2021. How long do you remain immunocompromised? Iā€™m getting monoclonal antibody shots today with Evusheld and am wondering what your doctors are doing to see if it worked for you and how they will determine when it wears off.

PamT72,
Hi! I was blessed to have received Euvsheld last week. I have/had DLBCL and 6 treatments of RCHOP chemo. I had 4 vaccine shots (3 Pfizer and 1 Moderna) I had 104 temp, chills nausea etc. And I didn't make any antibodies either. My husband and I had the same question in regards to having antibodies with the Euvsheld shots. We are going this week to get another antibodies test and I pray it's positive. In regards to these shots, you need them every 6 months. Good luck to you and I'm happy you received this medication/vaccine also. The next day I was tired and my joints/muscles ached. Did you have any reactions to it? Kelly

If you read the fda approval of Evusheld, the criteria is your immune status not when you completed treatment. But there is a lot of competition for this treatment and it pays to be the squeaky wheel.

PamT72,
Hi I got my antibodies test done today instead. I have antibodies!! Praise God!! I had the Euvsheld shot a week ago. I had 4 vaccine shots that didn't net me any antibodies previously. I got my antibodies tested at the Minute Clinic at CVS for 69. (The price went up) i also think we are immunocompromised till our blood work is normal too. Just my opinion. For example,, my lymphocytes (wbc) are still low which is our immune system. If you have anymore questions in regards to this, please don't hesitate to ask. I hope you have a good day! Kelly

Thanks Kelly! I had no reaction to the Evusheld shots. I hope they do what they are supposed to do and protect me.
Was your antibody test positive?
Iā€™d like to hear from more people who have also had the Evusheld shots.
Best, Pam
