Just Went To Oncologist
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I don't know what is the matter with me. I am still fatigued. Sunday I was up and about, happy, etc. Monday I spent the entire day in bed....so fatigued. Informed my oncologist. He told me it has nothing to do with my chemotherapy because my last dose was 8 months ago. Said that my labs look great, etc.

Can someone please tell me if I am imaging this? I love to work and be active.

Thank you.

Please be vigilant and ask for a PET scan. My husband was feeling this way last fall with weight loss and fatigue. All his blood work looked great. He had a CT scan that looked great. His oncologist told him not to worry. He had a tumour growth that showed up in February on his back. by the time it was properly diagnosed in mid June - it was misdiagnosed as scar tissue because all his scans and blood work were great they did not do a biopsy and the radiologist read it as scar tissue- You may be OK but good to know for sure. The blood work does not tell the whole story. This is his second round of Mantle Cell diagnosis and his blood work has always been excellent. even when he is extremely ill. Praying for a long remission for you and that it is indeed just tiredness and nothing else.

I almost 5 months out and I still have more fatigued days than not. I'm beginning to believe you should only be able to administer and advise patients if you have experienced the treatment yourself.

im thinking its because yur immune system is so low that it makes you fatigued. i also found that since ive been on the rituxin- your bone density gets worse-ive had several kyroplastys done on my spine an hips-your bones start to crack easlier because of vitamine d deficiency from all the chemicals. you need vit d- to keep up your immune system-to keeo fighting the bad cells. also if you go into remission (by that i mean) wait an see-an it comes back before the 2 yrs- its a bad thing- if your remission lasts longer than two yrs- your better off- survival wise- cuz most people dont make it thru the first 5 yrs if it comes back sooner

I also still get exhausted and my oncologist tells me the same thing I can't explain it but we live it! I just chalk it up as doctors aren't always correct we spent a good amount of time being sick and I have lost a lot of muscle mass and I have a bad knee which in turn makes me work harder so yes I am exhausted some times so don't feel bad it's ur body still trying to get back to where it once was and that is sometimes very hard. Take it slow! God bless

I was really tired after chemo and wanted to be in bed. I force myself to get up and move to drink water and take pain pills. Im glad I went thru chemo, Im here alittle longer on this earth. I struggle to get up and brush my teeth . I take my temperature and move slowly.
