Scan Frequency Once In Remission?
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had Follicular Lymphoma and treated for 6 month w wonderful remission afterwards in March of 2021. Had Cat Scans Sept 2021 and more in mid 2022. Now, it's time for another check. More scans... I was told they would be less frequent. Especially after the 2 year mark. What have you been experiencing out there? In regard to scans. Thank you

I had numerous scans (CT and bone scans) between 1992 and 1997. In 2005 I went out of remission, and had a few then (Pet Scans), and in 2006. I dont recall my last scan, and I am still in remission. I see my oncologist twice a year. My diagnosis was follicular lymphoma as well

Hi LynnDoughty, I'm thankful that my oncologist does scans for me, it means he is following up on my illness, before I had NHL my doctor's wouldn't do much at all even though I was complaining about that something was wrong, stay safe prayers for you,John

I still have a scan every year in may and i have been in remission since august2019. I feel anxiety every time I have a scan. But pray and have a positive attitude that gets me through it.

I had high grade lymphoma and had scans at 3 months after treatment when I got in remission, then at 6 months and one year, Now I have my blood checked every 6 months but will not have any more scans unless I have symptoms/issues. Best wishes to you.
