I have mantle cell lymphoma and was on watch ànd wait for a year. I just had 4 weeks of Rituxan infusion once a week. I had no negative reactions and there was some tumor shrinkage. Like 4.7 cm to 4.3. Does anyone know if that would be considered a success? If so I can continue on Rituxan for two years. If not, my doctor will add another chemo drug. Thank you for any help. BTW I am stage 4 with tumorous lymph nodes all over but no other organs affected. 74 years old.
I am also on watch and wait with mantle cell. I can not help with your questions but I am encouraged by your story and hopeful of success with your treatment.
Thanks guys!
Great to hear from you. Really.
I have been on wait and watch for two years now. I would say shrinkage of any tumors is headed in the right direction
Stay positive 🙏🏻
I'm not sure either but it sounds like it is going in the right direction. I usually am more concerned about my hemoglobin counts. I have marginal spleenic lymphoma it is chronic so when it's bad, blood count is low any in 5 years I have had 3 different treatments with rituxan. Until that doesn't work I guess I will continue to cycle through this treatment then my doctor will try something else. I get about 2 an a half years between treatments.
I’m not sure either but I would say any shrinkage would be a success
