I'm retiring next month. I hasn't planned to retire this early (I'm 57), but I want to do more than working up to my last month, as a cancer-afflicted coworker did. So far the symptoms are not bad, the night sweats, and I just get some days when I'm very tired, and my endurance isn't what it was, probably the anemia contributes to that. Between the lymphoma, and the chemo I'm likely to need to start soon to deal with metastatic prostate cancer, I don't know how many years I have left in which I can carry on doing the sort of things I'm used to doing - I doubt that I'll ever do multi-day bicycle tours again, and hiking is limited to 5 or 6 miles now, but I'm going to keep trying. I have the roof of my house to re-shingle this summer, I reckon I'm still up to that. Next, I want to do some landscaping in my yard, it's just a vast expanse of grass at the moment. Fruit trees I hope I'll be around to start collecting fruit from, and I'm going to greatly expand my vegetable plots. I fed the deer very well with my squashes this year, so I may need to get some fencing.

Watching my #4 grandchild come into the world, which she did on Jan. 7th, attending my son's wedding in March, and staying in remission.

I look forward to my last maintenance infusion on 9/13/23.
I would say I’d like to return to my old job but my employer told me the day after my second infusion that even if the chemotherapy treatments work I won’t have a job to return to. So much for busting my butt and never getting a reprimand in my six years.
I ended up going on SSDI because no employer will hire someone that needs a week off for treatment/sickness every 8 weeks.
Now my goal is to accomplish as much fishing as possible.

I am currently receiving treatment for Non Hodgkin's follicular Lymphoma. I'm looking forward to being finished with treatment and going back into remission.

I look forward to never looking backwards. I don't dwell on the "what ifs". I enjoy living, regardless of obstacles and challenges.
