Feminine Problems
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Are any woman having problems with soreness after intercourse. Or maybe yeast infection caused by meds?

Before I had any clue that I had CLL I got a weird discharge. I went to my primary doctor and she gave me an oral med. After that I still felt irritated but discharge cleared. I then went to two GYNs and was told that dryness causes the infections. Both prescribed a hormone cream to alleviate the dryness. I’m not faithfully using the cream and sometimes after urination I feel a burning sensation but the doctor sent a culture and it didn’t show a UTI. There are over the counter creams like Replenish that you can try. I have read that as we age sex may become painful. I have been celibate for years but recall the last time my husband and I were intimate and it sent me to the GYN. She found nothing wrong other than the dryness. So I’m told that the dryness could potentially cause bacterial vaginitis and yeast infections. I know that I’ve been prescribed antibiotics which resulted in yeast infections. But Probably a good idea to get a GYN to weigh in on it. Hope you feel better soon and get a diagnosis.

I’m sorry I have no answer, I’ve been cellebate (did not spell that right) for sometime now. Have no desire or interest, do well to just get by. Good luck to you, try doing some research. God bless and be safe.

I can’t answer that except to say not interested in sex anymore. As far as yeast infections go don’t have that sorry

Apparently candida can lead to cancers. It's an overproduction of fungus in the gut that kills off good bacteria and causes yeast infections. Might want to get tested for that.
