Abbreviated TX Because Of Age
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am in remission from DLBCL. I was treated with Rituxin infusion every 21 days for 6 cycles. Also I took imbruvica and Revlimid orally. I am 88 y/o . Anyone else have similar TX?

I did quite well on the TX. However, I could not eat much secondary to nausea and lost weight. I was very tired and couldn't do much. It was immotherapy TX that I got. I did not lòose my hair.
I am in complete remission now. Remission does not mean curred but if l get a couple more years, I will be OK with that.
Now, most of my energy has returned for an old lady !
Best wishes and they will certainly find a TX for you.

Yes, I could do very little. I had to have someone drive me to monthly Dr. appts and weekly lab. It was an effort to anything as far as fixing food or anything around the house. I had groceries delivered.
But, now that I have been in remission for a few months, my energy has returned.

I am 75 y/o and thought that I was too old for treatments to be effective. None have been prescribed yet, though the DLBCL was identified positively, one CT scan done, and a PET scan scheduled. My only major symptom is ongoing fatigue and some nausea. Your post is encouraging for me because of your age.

I’m 72 and just diagnosed with large B cell lymphoma. I think that’s what you also have? I’m just waiting to hear about treatment. Have the treatments been tolerable? Sounds like you’re doing well! I’m encouraged from reading your post.
