I have been diagnosed with Splenic Marginal Zone Lymphoma in March. I’m doing “watch and wait” but I think I might go for the treatment because all I do all night is sweat and I get every virus that comes near me. I want to feel better. Is it work it?

Members shared overwhelmingly positive experiences with Rituximab treatment for various types of lymphoma, with most achieving remission after four weekly infusions and many reporting minimal side effects beyond initial fatigue, joint soreness, or manageable allergic reactions controlled with Benadryl. Several members described practical aspects of treatment, including the first infusion taking most of the day as a precaution, subsequent infusions being much quicker, and the relief of symptoms like night sweats stopping during or shortly after treatment. A recurring theme was encouragement and reassurance that the treatment is generally well-tolerated and effective, with members emphasizing that worrying beforehand was often worse than the actual experience and celebrating each other's journeys into remission together.

I do believe the Rituxan treatments are worth a try rather than jumping into R-CHOP. So far they have worked for me, not that I am entirely back to normal, but scans say I am in remission.

Candace, it's not true for everybody, but I've heard that Rituxan is a cakewalk for a lot of us. It was for me, also my brother and another friend.

Last infusion is tomorrow then I wait 4 weeks for another PET scan. So far so good! I’m hopeful for remission
