Is There Any Correlation Between Sinus Infections And Having NHFL?
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I know that night sweats, fatigue, and itching can be related but Drs don't seem to know why and don't really offer any treatment or explanation other than if the "B" symptoms get bad enough or the disease seems to be progressing as evidenced by your routine CT and/or bloodwork - then it is typically time to bring on the Chemo or Immuno therapies. My Drs don't even document these things when I report them now. I am on my 2nd serious sinus infection this year. Anybody else?

AvrilKayPurvis,

I think I understand. When is discomfort something that we just need to learn to live with and when does it cross over to misery. I know that I am so much better off than so many here BUT there does not seem to be much "Life" when I am in bed most of the time and miss going out but also dread it because then I will catch something new. Still working with the therapist to learn to destress and see the positives. Hope that you can find the things that help you. Hugs!

Rebecca3,
I just got over a 3 week nasty upper respiratory infection. My husband got over it and I had to have two rounds of antibiotics. I had awful coughing, bringing up colors and a fever. I just think our immune systems are weaker than before lymphoma. I hope you feel better soon!! Kelly

My PCP referred me to an ENT after the Zpack and predisone did not completely resolve the issues. It helped but I feel it will ramp back up without further intervention. We will see what happens. I know from reading all my CTs and Pet scan for the past couple of years that they noted some issues in the sinus area. No Dr ever commented on those findings - outside their scope and interest or whatever. I am hopeful that they will help me improve the situation. In 2014, while in nursing school, I had a sinus infection that lasted about 9 months and took 5 rounds of ABTs to resolve. The county health people kept telling me it was just allergies. Nope - it wasn't....LOL Thanks for your suggestion.
