I had local metastasis of my thyroid cancer about a decade ago. To treat this, I had a modified radical neck dissection. At the time, it was determined that I also had NHL. Most, but not all lymph nodes were removed. My thyroid endocrinologist performed ultrasound checks annually. In these checkups, he measured the size of the remaining lymph nodes to determine if I had any growth.

Hi and welcome to the site. Everyone on here is so kind, supportive and helpful. I have/had DLBCL stage IV. I had treatments of RCHOP chemo. I've been in remission for 2 1/2 years. Mine was in my bone marrow. I have labs done and my oncologist gives me an examination and feels my lymphnodes. I hope you have a good day. Kelly
