I seem to want to eat a good meal, so no loss of appetite for me last treatment in April…hopefully. Lymph nodes back to normal . Marginal Zone lymphoma only treatable…
My feelings on this: in the very beginning when I met w my Oncologist NP she said if I lost 10% of weight they would stop my treatment. Taking into consideration this was also my 2 cancer diagnosis in 15 months. I was determined - I ate carbs after treatment my meal was mac n cheese.. I ate a lot of peanut butter too. I made sure to eat, small meals several times a day. And to drink plenty of water.
I had a lil 3 yr old assistant care giver companion who was vigilant in making sure I had a full bottle of water beside me at all times. 😍
And now that I am on this side of the tunnel. I can’t even think of mac n cheese 🤢
A lot of things I enjoyed prior to cancer taste differently now.
Eating healthy - not loosing weight - getting rest - staying hydrated - staying on top of your nausea - getting fresh air daily even if its only 5 min are all huge in beating cancer.
Wow. I guess it’s a side effect also. I only read about weight loss as a side effect…I do my last treatment in April and know remission is the outcome…
I eat like crazy during my chemo, specially after they give me steroids. I drink lots of green tea , fruits. I gain 10kg during 4 months of chemo. I am in remission now, finger cross, thanks God 😊. Now I try to loose some waigth, less carbs ,meats, more veggies. God bless everyone!
My appetite was non-existent.
