I am going to have to do it soon. With mine they are going to put in a central line and give me shots that pull your stem cells out of your bones. They then extract them out of your blood. That’s about a weeks process. You then go into the hospital and they hit you with a massive round of chemo to kill off your immune system and anything that might remain of your cancer. They then put your stem cells back in and it takes a few days for them to go back in your bones and start producing the white blood cells. The reason you’re in the hospital is your immune compromised and don’t want you to catch anything. Once your counts are back up they release you. Everyone’s timeline is a little different. They told me around 3 weeks.
