Bonnie - to answer your question, yes. I have marginal zone lymphoma that transformed into a very aggressive form of DLBCL. Starting in August 2023 I revived 6 rounds of Pola-R-CHP which ended in December of 2023, after which I was told I was in remission. About 8 months later I started having all sorts of skin issues, rash, dermatitis, minor infections, then got all the viruses circulating, flu, covid, RSV, pneumonia. My IgG levels tested low so I'm now getting monthly IGIV infusions (Gamunex). I've not been told how long these infusions will last, so indefinitely. Yes, it's somewhat inconvenient, but the alternative is definitely worse.

I adding to my earlier comments. Since I started back up on the IVIG infusions my life has changed significantly for the better. I tolerate the infusions quite well, a bit out of sorts the rest of the day, mostly caused by the Benadryl and steroid injections I get to start. But I feel significantly better, more strength, more energy, the dark cloud of depression has lifted, all great things. Plus, no more illnesses and limited skin infections (not none). I hope to continue the infusions for as long as I can, they have been real game changers for me.

I can't count the number of infections and antibiotics I've had since August, well over 10. The most serious was dermatitis that got me 2 heavy duty pills at the same time. And then the IV antibiotics for the flu and pneumonia.

I initially had an allergic reaction to the infusions, a rash during the process in my case. They changed the pre-IV prep now to a shot of a steroid plus the Benadryl. No problems since.

Hello Bonnie, After I initially received treatments they gave me Neulasta and it did work for me to get my levels back to norm . Since September my levels have stabilized and no longer receive the injections.

Thanks, Charlie! I have had 2 IVIG infusions and they made me feel better. I just finished my glofitamab treatment, but the doctor suggested I get another IVIG infusion when I come for my PET SCAN. Cool!
