My Aunt lives in another part of the country and has just been diagnosed, the recommendation is RCHOP ( 6 cycles) given every 3 weeks. She is wondering if she will be able to travel to be near family in between chemo sessions. Any experience or insight welcome! Thanks!

Hi! I have/had DLBCL stage IV and too had 6 treatments of RCHOP chemo. One of the reasons I did not travel was when you have treatments your immune system goes down. My blood numbers went down alot during treatments, especially my lymphocytes. Which was expected. But, I did not want to get an illness on top of what I was fighting. I did not even go into a crowd. I wore masks. Plus, I was fatigued during treatments also so I rested as my body required. I hope your Aunt does well with her treatments. Kelly
