In Ireland, Car T Therapy costs approximately €300,000. It is available through the public health system for eligible patients so there is no cost to the patient. As it involves careful monitoring after infusion, patients must stay close to the hospital. The Bone Marrow Trust (charity) have 7 apartments close to the hospital which are available free of charge to patients receiving Car T. Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about Car T in Australia

Where is CAR-T cell therapy available, and what does it cost?

Unfortunately, the search results don't provide specific information about which countries offer CAR-T cell therapy or the costs involved. The available information focuses on the types of CAR-T therapies approved in the United States and how they work, but doesn't address international availability or pricing.

CAR-T therapies approved in the U.S. include:
* Axicabtagene ciloleucel (Yescarta)
* Brexucabtagene autoleucel (Tecartus)
* Lisocabtagene maraleucel (Breyanzi)
* Tisagenlecleucel (Kymriah)

Since you're in Australia where CAR-T isn't currently available, you might want to discuss with your oncologist whether traveling for treatment is feasible and what the associated costs would be. They may also know about clinical trials or emerging options that could become available in Australia.

It's worth noting that CAR-T therapy is rapidly advancing, with new treatments being approved frequently, so the landscape may change.
