Hi Mary- I don't worry about lab tests or CT Scan- if it is good news I can get on enjoying life- if not so good can have additional treatment or just accept them and plan my future accordingly.
Not saying my outlook is the right one but it suits me.
Good luck with your treatment
For me it was my oncologists call. After two and a half years of no detectable cancer and my labs and vitals are fine.
Some of you may find this useful. I have been in PT for the leg weakness trying to build the muscle I lost. MY therapist has been increasing the workouts slowly and I was getting stronger. Then, after my last workouts that included some challenging squats etc. (I was ok but tired) I literally crashed- absolutely exhausted and just wanted sleep. Walking around was challenging. I did some research and found there is something Called PEM or Post Exertion Malaise common with cancer patients or survivors. If you tax your body beyond what it is incapable of restoring Your entire body will crash because you have exceeded the limit. IT has taken me 3 weeks to start to feel better and my PT now is like starting over. So, be careful with the exercise. My problem is I was a competitive athlete and in great shape till NHL 3 years ago. That helped me survive I think but it was my reference point for getting stronger. I also have a stubborn Irish streak and will always push myself, no matter how I feel. So I have lowered my bar. My goal now is to just walk around without the fatigue and accept my condition. And have gratitude for where I am. That has been tough but I am making some progress. Cancer does not frighten me but I am so tired of feeling so tired and have limits to what I can do. Enough of my rambling. Wishing you all the best is your challenges and recovery. Peace and kindness to all. Jack
@A MyLymphomaTeam Member, even though 0.4 cm is still very small, but because they have grown, I would probably want another scan at 6 months just to see what size they are now. It is slow growing, so if there is little to no change, maybe another 6 months and then yearly. Just my opinion, but if you trust your oncologist, consider what he suggests. I do know that one of my ct scans of chest, abdomen, and pelvis is equal to the radiation of 500 chest x-rays each time, per my oncologist. That, alone, can be an issue. Talk with him/her and come up with a plan that works for both of you. God bless, Graeme!

Yes, I am fortunate to be in remission. However the side effects from 3 years ago. I still struggle with fatigue and muscle soreness- every test possible shows nothing. I fear they are missing something. Guess Cancer sets you up to worry which makes worse. Right now I am working on Gratitude. My wife of 50 plus years passed 6 months ago so on top of having cancer losing her my it is a tough road ahead. But I will not go gently into the good night. Cancer is Truly the Emperor of all maladies. A great book.
