I Have Follicular NHL, Completed Chemo And Am In Remission. Just Recently Diagnosed With Covid.
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

After chemo, I had two sessions of Rituxan before my doctor stopped that treatment due to extreamly low white blood cell counts. I had one infusion of Immune globulin before contracting Covid. Even though I'm on Paxlovid (anti-viral), I'm uncertain what to expect in recovery since my immune system is so compromised. I'm sure other Lymphoma patients have contracted Covid and want to know what to expect in recovery with a compromised immune system.

PlainsOils- I had COVID twice recently and had to delay chemo. The thought of you, all you’ve been through and your good attitude gave me a boost. We can get through this!!!

B-cell lymphoma in remission here, but my immune system won't be back for another year or so. I tested positive for Covid for a solid month without treatment. The covid was mild, but my immune system allowed a nasty sinus infection to develop from Covid's mild nasal congestion. Two months later my second round of antibiotics isn't working. My Kleenex bill is outrageous!

Thank you Ajaya. I'm surprised that someone hasn't done an article on this so far, at least I haven't seen one. I knew there were others that have experienced Covid while going through Lymphoma treatment, so thank you for sharing your story and I'm glad you got over it okay. Watch out because I know others who have had Covid twice or more, with all the changing variants.

I had COVID and Pneumonia February 14-March 7 and was hospitalized. I went to Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center from March 7-25, 2022.
I’m still going slow… I have low back problems.
My lungs and heart were compromised. I have asthma and I’ve been out breath when I walk. My hair was falling out from COVID. Is better now…
I’ve had a irregular heartbeat too from COVID.
I’m on Acyclovir twice a day from my Cancer Doctor. It’s an antiviral.
I’m slowly getting better. I still have to use a walker when I go places.
I just take one day at a time!!
Hang in there. Prayers coming…
