Back in 2019/2020 I found a pea size lump near my collar bone on the right side. Forgot about it and recently felt it and is still there. My neck has been extra stiff on right side, been having trouble swallowing at times. Lots of weight loss. Headaches, earaches, fatigue, fevers often. Could this be a type of cancer? I’m 47 yr old female. I can’t put weight on if I do I lose it very quickly. Anyone relate? Not sure if I’m in the right group but I do need someone I can talk to before I go to the… read more

Members urged someone experiencing a persistent lump near the collarbone, weight loss, fatigue, fevers, and swollen lymph nodes to see a doctor immediately and advocate strongly for answers, with several emphasizing that early detection can make a significant difference in treatment outcomes. Many community members described similar symptoms they had experienced, including enlarged lymph nodes, night sweats, fatigue, unexplained weight loss, and overall feeling unwell, which led to their own lymphoma diagnoses. A recurring theme was the importance of not delaying care despite caregiving responsibilities or fear, starting with a primary care physician for labs and referrals, and understanding that while the lump could be benign, the combination of symptoms warrants urgent medical attention.

Yes - as others have said you need to go to the Dr. The lump and the symptoms may or may not be related.... From my journey's experience the weight loss and fatigue are significant. However, the body is complex so it could be many things.

I would think if you start with your PCP that they would order labs at a bare minimum. Would also expect you to be referred onto others for more expertise and testing. Maybe dermatologist or other type of specialist might recognize the lump as something textbook benign an/or could suggest a biopsy to be certain. As you prepare, I would maybe read some basic Lymphoma symptom articles here. Please also ask your Dr what you should be reading / tracking / doing to assist in the process. Good Luck.

You need to go see a doctor. More than likely it's a cyst, but the doctor needs to confirm that. DON'T put this off!
