I completed two cycles on 11/27 - 29, 2023: Day 1: IV Rituxan/Bendeka, Day 2: Bendeka, Day 3: pegfilgrastim (Fulphila) Injection only, which regimen was repeated on 12/26 - 28, 2023. I felt increased fatigue after Cycle 1, then a dramatic energy boost following one blood transfusion on 12/07/23, before the second Chemo regimen. I was scheduled for Lab CBC's and "possible transfusion" every Tuesday since then, but Hemoglobin count increased from 7.3 on 1/23, to 8.7 on 1/30 and again on 2/06. Cycle 3 scheduled for 1/23/24 and on 2/06/24 were canceled for low hemoglobin count (1//23) and low Absolute Neutrophil Count (ANC) (2/06). Extreme fatigue and shortness of breath following Cycle 2 have decreased and full body strength has increased weekly since New Years Day. I REALLY wanted another blood transfusion after the one on 12/07/23 but they said, "No; we want you making your own!" Chemotherapy seems to be working, and am focused on nutrition and getting enough sleep. Only side effects were slight nausea, loss of balance (not dizziness), abdominal gas (good thing I live alone!) and dry, itchy skin. It's winter. I'm pleased and look forward to Cycle 3 of 6.

Hi Rob2, Just getting started with six months of Chemo. I had the same mix two years ago. I sailed through with no real side effects of the mix of B.and R. But on the day of my infusion, they gave me a steroid that completely wired me for two days. I had energy galore but a hard time falling asleep for two nights. Then, totally crashed on the third day. Other than that I had no problem and the result was remission of the cancer. Then, entered a two year maintenance plan of just Rituxan every other month. I tolerated that very well too for a long time but gradually I became more fatigued and my immunity eroded severely. I got Covid three times. My oncologist just ended the plan two infusions short of my goal. Feeling better not taking that stuff.

Just finished 6 rounds of Rituxan/Bendamustine. Once they got the pretreatment correct, my reactions to Rituxan were eliminated. Lower back pain and bad fatigue seemed to be the worst side effects. Now I'm trying to get my strength and flexibility back.

Hello Rob, I have just finished 6 rounds of Bendamustine and Rituximab.
I had very few side effects, I did not lose my hair!
The treatment in my case has been extremely successful.
Just Rituximab as maintenance going forward.
Good luck, a positive mindset is key!
