I had marginal zone non hodgkins in my spleen. I have been in remission for 2 years now and have 2 more rounds of rituximab to go and I still get pains in my spleen that take my breath away. Has anyone else experienced this. My oncologist is not worried about it and says to just take some pain meds. I’m worried there is something else going on.
Any one have this?
Some people I’ve talked with have indolent marginal zone lymphoma as well as myself. These people did the Rituximab maintenance for 2 yrs after treatments and have been in remission for over 10 yrs.. that’s great
I certainly hope so! I have indolent marginal zone lymphoma, which seems to be somewhat rare. (Mine is even rarer still in that it turned aggressive. RCHOP worked and I'm now cancer free of the aggressive disease.) My docs told me stats on things like survivability and life expectancy are hard to come by as this form of lymphoma is not very common, so not a large population of sufferers from which to draw conclusions.
