I have been diagnosed two years ago with a rare form of Lymphoma. It is Mantle Cell Lymphoma it is treatable but not curable. After taking Chemo and Brukinsa with good results my numbers went south. He is now putting me on Venetoclax and Jaypirca. Has this been successful?
I am pretty scared
I thank you Michael for your reply. I read it as Mantel until you mentioned mental. Yes Ai and dictation dont always mean what you want to say. My best friend wrote yesterday that he hopes my doctors zoom call goes bad. lol It is nice to know that people really care about other people's worries. I am going for a Pet Scan Saturday as he thinks it is very aggressive. He mentioned the Cart t cell therapy if these two medications don't work. I sincerely hope that you will be once again in remission. Thanks again as we update each other and hopefully others.
I hope you can read my previous reply apparently AI and dictation sometimes don’t get everything completely correct I don’t have mental cell lymphoma. I have mantel Cell lymphoma
I also have mental cell lymphoma have been through the art, chopped chemo, and calquence. I was in remission for almost one year. It came back in October and I had two treatments of the gynox Chemo and we’re back into remission however, after three months, I am now back with lymph nodes enlarged based on the last PET scan. I was going to have the cart t Cell therapy, but they couldn’t get a viable T cell count after two harvesting so that’s not an option. My doctor is thinking about putting me on that drug with a every other month infusion. We are hopeful that this will put it back in remission. These medicines can cause side effects, mostly neuropathy, fatigue, and shortness of breath. At least it’s been my experience so far.
Hang in there they keep coming out with new drugs and new therapies and my oncologist indicated that with mantle cell, the key is to push it down the road a year it will come back, but then they can try even the same treatments or a different treatment and put it back in remission and get you a few more years Until eventually they find something that will keep it in remission for a longer period of time
It's completely understandable to feel scared when starting new treatments. Both Venetoclax (Venclexta) and Jaypirca (pirtobrutinib) are targeted therapies that have shown effectiveness in treating mantle cell lymphoma, particularly when previous treatments are no longer working as well.
