I was on Watch and Wait for 4 years and 4 months. All of a sudden I had 3 lumps come out different places, went to my regular doctor and he said it was cyst and sent me to a surgeon to get them removed and sent in for testing. It came back they were Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma and aggressive.
I have had 3 chemo treatments and another due Thursday June 12, 2025.

Dan22 wow and woaw!
That is my issue with Watch and Wonder (not wait in my opinion).
I am hyper aware of my body and notice small changes so I wonder alot. I do not worry or overreact but I just wonder if something will me missed turning it is Watch and Opps-WonderedTooLong.
So sorry your cancer advanced and so happy you found it. Why did you need surgery? Ik most NHL cancers do not have surgery.
Take care.

Wait and watch is a double-edged sword in my opinion. How often are you having scans? A mistake my team made in my case was not performing a PET scan to detect the metabolic activity inside the tumor, to ensure it was not transforming into DLBCL and remained stable. Chances are low, like 1 in 100, but it happens, and then it's a very different ball game. I ended up having a major surgery because of it.

Dan522 having surgery for NHL is crazy. My folicular NHL is deep in my gut. I often wonder what's going on inside. Happy the surgery option was there to help you.
I'm in Ottawa too.
