The oncologist ordered prescription dose Ibuprofen for the continuing body pain with no relief. What do I do now? Pain management? Ask the oncologist for a better pain medicine?

I am in same situation. I had rutiximab treatment. Splenectomy, it was adhered to my diaphragm. Return of NMZL in axillary node and 2 other nodes in arm pit. Still a lot of pain in upper left quadrant. My PCP was helping me with pain management
But recently left the practice. Don't know what to do or where to go? Suggestions would be great. Pain management clinics treat you so horrible. Cancer patients should not be dismissed regarding pain.

Hi Joy, obviously the doctor has never experienced lymphoma or pain in his joints. Karma is a thing. His arrogance is annoying. The real answer is he doesn’t know. Since each individual is different we have to figure out our own path. Do the best you can. Pray a lot and keep moving. I too am having pain. I make myself go. The very best to you

I was not just dismissed , I was told point blank there is no pain with lymphoma ( the doctor said with a pleasant smile ) that I was too annoyed by to even be able to respond. So, I also have to wonder, what is the cause of the pain that is so bad? Which practicing doctor will be the one to acknowledge the pain and what will make it better? This is why my trust in the medical profession has been broken. When ithe reason for the pain is finally diagnosed how long will I have suffered? What needs to happen to get the doctors to take patients on their worst? I think it’s unfortunate and honestly unforgivable.
