I have one only very small spot show up n my PET scan and I’m not sure if I should try to have it biopsied or wait it out to see if it grows. I completed 6 rounds of pola r chp as I have stage 4 level 2 ipi for dlbcl nh. All other cancer cells are non existent according to my scan results. Any insight or advice would be kindly appreciated. Thank you.

PET scans work by showing areas where glucose (sugar) is being heavily consumed in the body, since cancer cells typically require high levels of sugar to grow. While these scans are helpful in detecting lymphoma, small spots can sometimes be challenging to definitively diagnose without additional testing.
