Diagnosed in 2024 and just completed 6 cycles of ABVD with completed remission in march 25.
I was diagnosed with DLBCL in August 2023, which occurred when my nodal marginal zone lymphoma transformed. Before I got really sick from the DLBCL, I had the typical "B symptoms" common with indolent lymphomas: drenching night sweats being one. I went through 6 rounds of Pola-Rcp and the sweats seemed to disappear. But, maybe 18 months post treatment the sweats are back. Not nearly as intense as before, but every night. I almost always need to change my tee shirt in the middle of the night because what I'd been wearing was cold and clammy. I've asked my doc multiple times about this, have had multiple follow up blood tests and scans, they always come back clean. The doc can't quite explain it and says not to worry, but it's always there in the background. After all, indolent lymphomas are never cured, so it's always possible it will return.
Ca,
Hi! I have been in remission for 5 yrs and still occasionally have slight nightmares sweats now and then. Not enough to change my gown but enough that I notice it. When I was diagnosed they were drenching. When I had treatments they were better but. I had them several times a week that were very noticeable. The further I got away from my rchop chemo treatments the less they became. I still get anxious when I get one. My oncologists (I have 2) still never had an answer about them. They always said if they are drenching again to let them know. I believe (my opinion) is that they have to do with the chemo and having lymphoma. I still, 5 yrs later get hot . I tell my husband I think my internal thermostat has been off since I’ve had lymphoma. Kelly
Thanks for you reply. It made my day. I feel less anxious and hopefully I will also get a clean scan result soon too. Wish you all the best and stay healthy ! 😀
Are night sweats a year after remission a sign of relapse?
It's understandable to feel worried about new symptoms after achieving remission. Night sweats can be concerning, especially when they weren't present at diagnosis.
However, night sweats don't always mean relapse. Several factors unrelated to lymphoma returning Show Full Answer
