Has any body ages in the 70's undergo an Allogeneic bone marrow transplant?

I am 77 years old with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. I was diagnosed in in 2023. It is aggressive as I went through 3 procedures including Car t that failed. Currently I am on Glofitamab that brought me to remission on the pet scan. A new test called clonoSEQ or MRD showed I still had a little lymphoma left hidden I guess. Because I am in decent shape they suggested an Allogeneic bone marrow transplant. I dont like all the side effects but am open to any information or experience.

Bruce I hated the thought of an extended stay in the hospital with the cart t and the chances it would be successful gave me a low level of comfort of having it done.
I am happy with my decision for now and being able to enjoy my golf hobby

Thanks for the answer Bill. As I said I accepted car t and after a month or so in the hospital it eventually failed. I believe I am going to decline the allogeneic cell transplant and like you exercise and continue on. I was on bruzinca for two years as my first medication. Good stuff. Take care and stay well.

Bruce, I am 78 with MCL diagnosed in Sept 2023. I was offered Cart t but after reading all of the side effects I declined. I am on a stretching program every day and golf 2 to 3 times a week . Other than fatigue and needing daily naps I am happy with my progress. My suggestion is try to stay active. I am just going to stay the course with Rituxan and Brukinsa
