Yesterday I had an Iron infusion and the nurse told me if I felt I needed it, I could take Tylenol when I got home, but today I seen it listed as given to me along with my iron infusion. I am beyond upset 😡
I’d be upset too. I always ask what I’m getting and request paperwork to back it up. I’ve never had a problem since then. I’m so sorry you went through that.
Hi Sarah, yes you should be upset but take a deep breath and count to 10. Try and be clear enough to read the report several times. Then on your owne note book put down the date and what was not given to you. Make columns so it is easier to read. Now with the original reports and your own note book go back to the office of finance and question them about the discrepancies. Be calm and polite and if they can't accommodate you ask for a supervisor. Be firm but do not yell or accuse anyone. Just insist that this be corrected. Also make sure the nurse and other assistance names are all there. I be more concerned that they documented that they gave it and you did not receive it. Where i go for treatment they (nurse) have to tell me what the pill is open infront of me and i take them while they are still there. Then they document what was given and taken. It amounts to a 5 way check. They also check this against my hospital bracelet and ask for my name and date of birth. Hang in there, just be calm as you can and ASK QUESTIOS. let me know how your are doing , hiChristine.
Thank you Elaine 😊 I hope you're doing well.
Thank you for the suggestion, I'll look into it.
Have you looked into holistic approaches?? Bill Henderson A gentle guide to healing is a fantastic book!
