What does high tumor burden mean with low-grade follicular lymphoma?

Low-grade follicular lymphoma (grades 1, 2, or 3A) grows slowly and often causes fewer symptoms. However, having a high tumor burden means the lymphoma has spread to multiple areas in your body.

High tumor burden is one of the factors doctors consider when assessing your prognosis and treatment approach. Specifically, having more than four lymph node sites involved is considered a risk factor in the Follicular Lymphoma International Prognostic Index (FLIPI) scoring system.

Even with high tumor burden, low-grade follicular lymphoma can be manageable. Your treatment options will depend on several factors:

I’m getting ready for treatment with that also. Mine is also in the bone marrow, organs, spleen. So I’ll watch for any responses to you.

I also have low grade FL and as of my last scan the tumors have come back all over including my bone marrow. They are suggesting immunotherapy again. Either ER2 (epcoritamab) or TR2 (tafasitamab) both are along with rituximab. Has anyone had this type of immunotherapy? I am interested in real life testimonies regarding side effects. Thanks!
