Oh my gosh! I am great compared to what you have endured. I am just really frustrated. I was originally treated with Rituxan and radiation on entire left side of face/head for parotid tumors and the lymphoma had infiltrated the side of my head and was in my lungs and other parts of my body. I was originally treated at Mayo in Arizona I since moved back to California. It’s been two years and now my PET scan shows my lungs are the issue. My oncologist wants a lung biopsy however the thoracic surgeon is not comfortable doing it. Which leaves us in a predicament do we start a treatment plan not knowing if it has turned into a more aggressive lymphoma. I meet with my oncologist today actually to discuss what the options are. I just find it difficult to put my complete faith and trust in a Dr and I usually go with my gut but it isn’t guiding me in this case
Hi Teri5, since early 2023 when I was diagnosed and treated for Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia, I've relapsed 4 times.
I'm now on my fifth time, having treatment for DLBCL.
I'm being treated with Pola-Br this time round, having had RCVP, RCHOP, MATRIX, Whole brain radiotherapy, and a single mastectomy.
It's been pretty tough going at times, but I'm still here. 🙃😀🤪😜.
