Has anyone else had experience with advanced liver cancer SUVmax of 60+ and with the drugs I am taking, and should I get off these ASAP.

I’m struggling because I just had my fifth PET scan and it shows I have had very aggressive disease progression. I was first diagnosed a year and a half ago with FL, presenting as a 6 inch tumor in the rear of my mesentery, along with 2 tumors next to my heart, 9 smaller tumors in my abdomen, 3 tumors in my now enlarged spleen and a tumor compressing my left ureter causing pooling of urine in my left kidney. Based on my husbands experience since he began chop-r mar 2026:
He was in extreme pain from a month prior to diagnosis so we looked up alternatives early on. Cannabis oil has been very successful for him. If you are interested, find a reputable producer and someone who can guide you thru successful dosing. Swan apocathary (robin, owner), sells a reputable product.

Although he tried tramadol briefly at the beginning, it gave him terrible headaches, chest pain (thought he was having a heart attack over and over again) and dry mouth so we stopped it. With that, the side effects stopped almost immediately.
So, other than cannabis oil/ patches, he has used no other pain meds these past 3 months.
For that we are very grateful because he didnt want to get hooked on pain meds with all their notorious side effects in addition to the chemo drugs and their side effects.
Cannabis is also said to help fight cancer so its a win -win in our minds!

For what it is worth....in our opinion, some "off-label" products have proven helpful we believe for my husband. No way to prove it, but we think the dramatic and"significant" reduction of his masses in just 2 months time since beginning chemo, may be partially due to off-labels. Something more to research.❤️

First, take a breath. What you're carrying right now is an enormous amount — physically, emotionally, and medically. Your fear makes complete sense, and reaching out for information is exactly the right instinct.

On your pain medications and liver concerns:

This is a genuinely urgent and valid concern. Tylenol (acetaminophen) in particular is known to be hard on a struggling liver, and combining multiple medications does add stress. However, do not stop Tramadol or Duloxetine abruptly — sudden discontinuation can cause serious withdrawal effects. This needs medical guidance.

Some steps that may help this weekend:
- Call your oncologist's after-hours emergency line — most cancer centers have one
- Go to an urgent care or ER and explain you have aggressive lymphoma with liver involvement and medication concerns
- Ask specifically about safer pain alternatives given your liver situation

On R-CHOP:

R-CHOP is the established first-line treatment for DLBCL and has brought many people into remission, even in advanced cases. More than 3 out of 4 people with DLBCL reach complete remission after R-CHOP. Your oncologist moving quickly is actually a good sign — DLBCL responds better to treatment when addressed urgently.

The most important thing right now is not to make any medication changes alone this weekend. Please reach out to an on-call medical professional tonight — your situation is complex enough that it genuinely warrants emergency guidance, not waiting.
