Hi Donna, I know how you feel. I don't talk to many if anyone about my difficulties. I worked in the medical field in psych for many years and before that in hairdressing. I guess you can say my whole life i had positions of listening to others and trying to solve their problems. I just never gave mine. I was a researcher of how to fix or help anything and everything. I do the same now for myself. It takes time, trial and a lot of patience. So , be kind to yourself and take it one step at a time. I write a lot of notes to myself . I am done with pleasing or trying to help others first. There is a saying that if you don't take care of yourself first as the care giver then there is no care for anyone. So be your best friend and advocate and take care of you and the rest will take care of it self. When you feel better the other tasks are easier to take care of. Hugs and God's blessings, Christine.

What a wonderful wife you are…….. so caring and thoughtful, he’s very fortunate to have you
Hi Donna, my husband wakes constantly throughout the night. Every several hours. What I have done was to get a really comfy recliner ( it can can recline almost fully back ) that way he can float between bedroom and living room. He can wake up watch a little TV if He can't sleep or just recline there for a bit. It helps him and is super comfy. We found that chair was one of the best things I bought for him.
Hi Rebecca, what can I say. I thought i had it hard, but love you are the strongest person around. I know we must all go to the herexafter sone day but if we could only have some time inbetween to adjust. They say that God only gives what we can handle. You must be very strong. If we're you I would love my puppy dag and the hell with sleep. You sound like the best iny mi is anyway. God's blessings and a power amount of hugs to you and your's especially that puppy dog. 🐶 Christine
Wow, I have experienced exactly the same problem of waking up and not being able to go back to sleep. My husband passed 18 months ago and my sweet little dog was diagnosed with Hemangioma sarcoma and had his spleen removed 2 months ago. I’m grieving already because he’s showing signs of deteriorating health. I don’t want to frighten my kids and I am trying to stay positive. Reading the comments from others helps me understand more about this situation. Thank you
