Newly Dx'd, Just Started Mini R-chop
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question đź’

I am not mobile at all due to another terminal condition (parkinson's and dementia). I wear diapers, but have been able to have BMs on a portable toilet. Fearing what to expect and would rather have the truth from others than the 'no worries, most people beat lymphoma' stuff the doctors are pushing. Has anyone had an ill family and then they were dx with NHL? Mine is in the bones, stomach and three large tumors in my abdomen
I welcome honesty, no matter what you have to say. I want to live… read more

There are very few honest answers here, mostly rhetoric and “good vibes”. I am a caretaker for my 78 y/o husband with bulky DLBCL Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in his abdomen. I am 57 y/o and also a nurse… read more

Does Diet Affect How You Feel/your Level Of Inflammation? Have You Seen A Dietitian? Do You Have The Energy To Exercise?
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question đź’

I know my diet has a direct influence on my level of inflammation. After feasting on Thanksgiving I felt AWFUL yesterday. Sugar especially. I did speak with a RD but basically had the knowledge she imparted. As with most things in life, I’m unable to “perfectly” follow eating all whole grains, eating a rainbow- especially raw veggies, etc. And with the other things the RD shared (red meat no more than 2x a mo, 8 glasses of water a day, etc) I do the best I can with my other medical issues, in… read more

My Arm Cramped Up Bad During The Infusion And The Pain Lasted For Days.
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question đź’

I've had my 2nd round of Bendamustine/Rituxan. This last time my arm cramped up pretty bad with the 2nd infusion on the I don't recall which medication but it was the 2nd bag that they infused for about 30 minutes not the one that lasted hours. I suspect it may have cramped up because the fluid was really cold when they received it from the pharmacy. But I'm not sure if this was it. Has anyone else had this issue? The pain lasted for days and was really sore.

74 Year Old Male. Diagnosed NHL Non Aggressive Mode. Not Many Frequent Symptoms.
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question đź’

At this point, I’ve decided not to start treatment
I have lost two friends in the last year to other types of cancer
They both went through chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
They continued telling me that the chemotherapy had caused many uncomfortable side effects and weren’t sure whether it was causing more painful issues than it was worth.
They both have passed in the last three months.
They both expressed to me that their quality of life, and getting some extra months, wasn’t really… read more
