I lived a "normal" life with lymphoma. It's just that I had many appts. to go to which took up a lot of time. I still went shopping/to meetings/to church/ etc. I was lucky with little effects of the chemo. Due to my advanced age, I was given a lighter dose and the pet scan after 3 chemos showed improvement.
I have been for 7 years now
After my fourth treatment of Rituxan and another chop my lymph nodes went to normal as well as my spleen and then they gave me two more. It now appears Something is going on in the lower lumbar fourth and fifth and they feel what’s up is a possible blood infection from the chemo or another type of lymphoma. I’m getting a pretty good case of neuropathy in my feet especially my right Foot
I agree. You might have to slow down some and deal with a side affect (dry mouth and lips and nothing much tastes good, etc )
I am 67, diagnosed @ 53 & did chemo, then early recurrence/more chemo (CHOP-R) followed by Autogolous stem cell transplant - March '07. Basically, normal life! PTL.
