Itching can be a part of Lymphoma.... or not. Not the sort of answer that I like to give but at least it is an honest one.

I had extreme itching at the beginning, but it was attributed to a buildup of things in my blood due to the bile duct obstruction the Lymphoma caused. The fact that I turned yellow was also a clue. Once they started me on IV fluids, the itching reduced quickly and was mostly mild. After the obstruction was removed, the itching was even less - but I can't honestly say that it ever completely went and stayed away. My oncologists are not concerned and don't think it is currently related to my Lymphoma. My recent 6 month checkup showed nothing on the CT and my blood work was good. I have had minor rashes on my chest and upper abdomen that come and go - nothing too major. I have what could be considered bites or flares of itchies and raised areas on my arms and legs that seem intense for a day or two and then resolve on their own.

The most constant itching is my scalp - minor but always seems to be there. My onco referred me to my dermatologist. The Derm thought it was related to my arthritis. The rheumatologist said that I only have osteoarthritis - which has no itching component. He also tested for typical autoimmune issues and found nothing so far. So I am back to square one. My chest and abdomen seem better in the last few weeks but the scalp itching remains constant. In the scheme of things it is not bad (but still let's me know that something is off). Remember that itching and skin reactions can be caused by many, many things. Remember to consider anything new you may be eating/drinking or med changes. Lotions, shampoo, cleaning products, environmental changes, laundry detergent, (stop using dryer sheets). Unfortunately, it turns into a process of elimination.

Hope that in some way helps. Good Luck!
