A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I, who am allergic to nothing, had a sneezing session that lasted about 20-30 minutes during my first infusion. My nose stuffed up and I could barely breathe. It all went away immediately when the nurse flushed the IV.

During the first Rituxan infusion, I ended up in the emergency room because I was "tough" & didn't mention my discomfort quick enough! Later I continued with the treatment & with mostly zero problems ! I think it's a miracle drug because it's helped me so much !!! (Only the best of luck & health to you !!!!! )

Hi Judy, my husband had Rituxan by IV along with Bendamustine. The first time he had chills ( no fever) and body aches. They stopped the IV for about 1/2 an hour, gave him more Benadryl, then restarted at a very slow pace. He had a slight reaction each time, even at the slower rate but was able to tolerate it. Hope you can finish your treatment and that it gets easier each time.
Katie
P.S. He has Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia
