Hi, Everyone---has Anyone Had Experience With A Drug Called "revlimid"?
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

The doctor suggested that I take it orally for 1 year because it penetrates the blood brain barrer. I had cns lymphoma so this would prevent that from returning. The doctor said to take my time with the decision & I need some time without medication.
Thanks!
Mary

My stage 4 in 2008 was everywhere in my torso but missed my spinal cord and only 3 spots above my diafraim, and nothing above my neck. Last yr it was just around my spleen and stomach. I haven't looked at the side effects of Revlimid, cause I don't let side effects bother me if it works. One day at a time, and Keep the faith!

Thanks, Linda! I had stage 4 lymphoma in many parts of my body. It also included in my spinal cord but not my brain. That was the concern. RCHOPS got rid of the lymphoma in the rest of my body but didn't destroy it in my central nervous system. Needless to say, I don't want to have cancer in my spinal cord or brain.

My Dr said if I relapsed she'd give me Revlimid and Rutuximab. Last yr I had Bendamustine and Rutuximab, for follicular, marginal zone and very early myeloma. When I read that Revlimid was a pill every day for 21 day cycles, and Bendamustine is 2 iv's every 21 day, I'd rather take a pill, and I think Revilmid is better for very early myeloma. What is cns lymphoma, and I hope you take time and make the right decision.
