During chemo I always had some numbness in my fingertips and toes. It’s started to go away slowly in my fingers but my toes are actually getting worse and going into the balls of my feet now too. I’ve noticed my toes are also always cold, and the numbness gets more aggravating at night.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

My chemo was R-EPOCH

Members responded to someone experiencing worsening foot numbness after R-EPOCH chemotherapy, sharing that neuropathy progression varied widely, with some experiencing improvement within months while others dealt with symptoms lasting over a year. Several members found relief through physical therapy stretches, icing during treatment, leg massagers with compression and heat, and medications like Gabapentin, though many emphasized the importance of discussing persistent neuropathy with doctors since it isn't always reversible. A recurring theme was patience and hope, as multiple members reported gradual improvement over time, with one person sharing that their fingertips fully recovered and feet returned to 95% normal after about four months.

I had 6 rounds of CHOP ending the end of July. I've been experiencing neuropathy throughout treatment but hadn't paid lots of attention to it due to the other symptoms I was experiencing that were much worse. I have noticed over the past 3 months that the neuropathy has gotten worse and what started out in tips of fingers and toes is progressing just like you described. I spoke with oncologist yesterday and they prescribed Gabapentin which i pick up at pharmacy today. I'll let you know how it works out. Stay strong.

@A MyLymphomaTeam Member I was on EPOCH-R so very similar to yours! I wonder if that chemo has anything to do with it. And good point about the other symptoms being stronger so more noticeable.

It’s been about 4.5 months now, and I guess almost 2 months since I made this post and I’ve found the neuropathy has decreased a lot! Hopefully the same happens with you, especially with the meds. Goodluck 😊💪🏽💪🏽
