Members with follicular non-Hodgkin lymphoma shared overwhelmingly positive experiences with bendamustine and rituximab treatment, with many reporting excellent scan results, manageable side effects like fatigue and occasional nausea, and strong encouragement about getting a port to protect arm veins during treatment. Several members described their individual journeys, including one who achieved no evidence of disease, another who saw considerable improvement after three cycles, and one who reached remission after six rounds despite two hospital stays for nausea and a fainting episode. A recurring theme was gratitude for early detection, the importance of taking treatment one day at a time, and reassurance that while fatigue is common and recovery takes time, the outcomes make the challenging months worthwhile.

Very happy for you- 6 cycles is a lot but Petzscan result makes it worthwhile.

BrendaShaffner, Thank you for reaching out. I am glad I have my port, I didn't even feel the pinch when neddle goes into my port. I feel blessed went through the first chemo treatment easily, hoping and pray the rest the cycles will not be too difficut either. One day at a time, that's all I can ask.
I am doing good this week and hope the same for you.
Wish you a peaceful and relaxing Memorial weekend. SueT

Have had NHL follicular for 5 yrs. Did rituxan and combos all this time. Tried
Bendamustine with terrible side effects. Ended up in hospital and only continue Rituxan. No problems with that. Continue every 2 months and not counting being tired, have occasionally rashes and joint pain, I do well. Best wishes to you!

I was diagnosed bout five years ago with it. I did not do treatment, as I have RA & didn't want flares. I did however started cleansing my system with curcumin, gym, stopped all products like antiperspirants etc. Sauna & went into remission..no ports for me. I do have days where I retain fluid but I'm back to cleansing due to new tumors. Good luck

I was diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma earlier this year after hard lumps in my groin were diagnosed by PetScan.
First chemo at beginning of April- targeted therapy by injection for 2 weeks at local clinic.
Next chemo due on May 9 then four more at 4 week intervals.
No side effects apart from being tired- try to do a little gardening very early in the morning before the heat- 40 degree celsius day and 28 night where I live- Thailand ( Australian nationality)
Good luck
