Hello everyone! Has anyone gone through the Car T Cell therapy? What are your impressions/results/remarks? I had Yescarta type of therapy.

I had Yescarta 2yr ago, and I would also do it again if I needed to.

I just went through it in April. I am in remission right after. I did 8 rounds of RCHOP but it didn't get all of the cancer. CAR T Therapy knocked my butt, but I am better now and would do it again if the need was their.

CAR T-cell therapy, particularly Yescarta, has been a groundbreaking development in treating aggressive lymphomas like Large B-cell lymphoma. It offers hope for patients whose lymphomas haven't responded to other treatments, potentially offering a chance for cure when other options haven't worked.

The therapy works by using your own immune cells (T cells), which are modified to better fight cancer cells. This is different from traditional chemotherapy approaches and can be more targeted in attacking lymphoma cells. Common side effects you might experience include:
- Fever
- Fatigue
- Skin reactions
- Nausea
- Headaches
- Body aches
- Chills
- Blood pressure changes

More serious side effects can include cytokine release syndrome and neurological issues. Due to these potential complications, Yescarta is typically only used after at least two other treatments have been tried.
