Thanks Jean- Your info is interesting- quality of life and longevity are the ponderables.
I have been fortunate to achieve significant success in sport and working life- will take that " can do" attitude with me at decision time.

Hi Graeme. Jun went trough all this and has an ASCT recently...definitely very hard time.i Believe we could have ended at the 6 th chemo R Maxi Chop. Now as you consider your age, I would understand your hesitation so here are my 2 cents, if you do not wish to go go for R chop, at least try to clean your body. I can tell you Jun is fine beacsue we did that on side. not because of Chemo , I tell you what we think worked : Cleaning blood with OZON- like the royal british family, injection of Curcumin, blue methylene ( all this in anti aging clinic), then keep vitamin C, D3 daily, Iron. use Invermectin. no sugar, no wheat, all rice flour products, no porc. And Energy treatment . A lpt of blood tests, screened by AI also helped us for quick action/reaction. I am convinced that this made more than half of her healing.... And I am convinced as we will continue all above after chemo that she wil be in Long remission. I understand , too late, and in a bit different way than Jun that cleaning the blood is the key. Good luck man! if you believe it you can make it

Thank you very much for sharing your experience.
I am 81yo in Jan. and definitely having second thoughts about further treatment.
I would like to enjoy my remaining few years rather than lying on the couch feeling sorry for myself

Hi, Graeme.

In addition to low white blood cells, I experienced the following side effects:

hair loss, skewed taste buds, appetite reduction, swelling in lower legs, neuropathy, leg cramps, frequent urination, disrupted sleep.

Have been in remission for almost 18 months, the side effects that linger are: white blood cells, taste buds and appetite, lower leg swelling (reduced), neuropathy (reduced), leg cramps.

I found none of the side effects to be overly problematic, but they were (and still are) irritations.

That said, for a chance to live longer and complete my mission here on earth, the irritations are worth it and bearable.

May God bless and keep you.

Best,

Bob Echols
