My friend has suffered from Epstein Barr virus symptoms, on and off, since his 20. Now he is suffering from extreme exhaustion once again and this time the doctors have ordered a bone marrow biopsy. In the past there was never a bone biopsy involved in his diagnosis of EB. I'm worried the doctors are suspecting a lymphoma infection this time around.

Hi Lobzi, I had bone biopsy on my femur to help diagnose bone cancer (from the lymphoma). The procedure was more painful than expected but the cancer was rampant throughout my thigh so that could explain part of the pain. Once the biopsy is done, your friend will have answers though, an outcome much better than not knowing. Best of luck.
