I had terrible rashes when I was going thru chemo. They lasted about a year. Saw a dermatologist and got a big jar of Triamcinolone acetonide cream which helped a lot. U NEVER THINK IT WILL GO AWAY but it does, i also took doses of prednisone and also Benadryl 25 mg helped a lot.

I had rashes all over my body and took steroids for a while and steroid ointments . Eventually they resolve but u have to be patient and go to dermatologist if possible
My understanding is it can be . I too started with a similar symptom .
My husband takes an antihistamine for the itching. It works. He also had an allergic reaction during 1st round of chemo and he was given iv antihistamine then too.
