Dr wants me to have a stem cell transplant asap and has put me on Lonca as a bridge therapy to get LDH #’s down. (Was 1903, now 1435) He can only schedule the transplant when I get LDH to 300.
Anyone else have a similar story?
Thanks Kelly, I’m hopeful that Lonca will get me down to 300 LDH.
All the best to you as well
Avra
My LDH was originally >4,500 and it stayed there for around 10 days (all in the hospital) as they were treating my tumor lysis syndrome - and they would not begin my chemo until the LDH came down to under 3,000 or so. For those ten days, just prednisone and a bunch of other stuff.
It took some time (3 rounds), but the LDH eventually came down into the high 100s.
I very much hope yours comes down eventually, too. As the LDH came down, I found myself feeling much better overall.
Thank you Jeff. I know the dr really wants the transplant as do I. I appreciate your prayers.
I'm praying that everything will go well for you! I hope you can get the LDH down and begin preparing for the transplant soon 🙏
AvraFriedfeld,
Hi and welcome to the site. Everyone here is so kind and supportive. I have/had DLBCL and had treatments of rchop chemo. I hope your LDH continues to drop. Good luck on your upcoming stem cell transplant. Kelly
